Scope of the Wiki
To discuss the techniques, approaches, and practices which facilitate the better exchange of knowledge of the Civil War within the web environment (both internet and intranet if need be). These "facilitators" should support the presentation of many different, divergent facets of the Civil War. After all the study of the war is not just limited to the study of battles, units, and leaders. However, different topics may require different presentations. As such we should focus on these "facilitators" as tool sets, used where needed with proper measurement to fit.
What we're working on
1. We're using the Community Portal page for general discussion and brainstorming as we figure out where this is going.
2. We need new pages for the content of the Project. Like for objectives, databases, platforms, contacts, examples, design, and so on. Feel free to populate any of these or create a new page.
3. We need some kind of Table of Contents or navigation convention. Til then, list new pages below under Project Pages
4. Probably like any wiki, we've been the target of spam (bot?) and vandalism. If this gets out of hand we'll need to require sign-up/login before you can edit. Not the ideal choice, but perhaps necessary. [Take discussion of this point to the discussion page].
